August 2017 Ministry Update

Greetings from Bridgehaven!

At this year’s Gala, you learned we have been called to God-sized plans. We knew there would be challenges and difficult moments as we ventured into new partnerships and let our light shine more brightly in the community. And there have been some tough moments…a 13-year-old client, confronting attitudes of entitlement, and even mundane things like a leaky roof. There have been tearful meetings and prayers for clients facing horrible circumstances but, through all of that, God has been so faithful. We have also seen moments of pure joy…an ultrasound image of a little one giving her momma a high five, a client having one-on-one mentoring because she wants to grow closer to Jesus, and new volunteers flooding our hearts with their desire to serve.

God is good. He has called us to grow Bridgehaven in our community and that allows Him to touch so many more lives. We are loving our mission, the daily challenges and most definitely the moments when He reveals to us little miracles only possible when we are dedicated and obedient to His call. God is on the move and we play the role of fisherman.

Your generous support has allowed us to serve God on the front lines. We couldn’t do what we do without the myriad of donations we receive from individuals, churches, grants, and through Treasures. There are so many moving pieces to what we do every day but your contributions allow us to serve our clients in ways that show them unconditional love.
