Finding Treasure: Shop for Life
Treasures exists as a revenue stream for Bridgehaven. So when you shop at Treasures, you “shop for life!”
Treasures, located at 405 8th Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids next to Bill’s Brother’s Furniture, sells just about everything, from men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, to kitchen items, to wall décor, to toys, to books, to small furniture—the list goes on! Treasures only puts high-quality items that have been gently-used on the sales floor.
In addition to helping fund Bridgehaven, Client Support’s Earn While You Learn program relies on the donations that come into Treasures to help provide shoes and clothing for their clients.
Because of their unique role, Treasures helps bring awareness to Bridgehaven’s mission. Thanks to banners and signs identifying the relationship, it’s not uncommon for customers to ask what Bridgehaven is all about.
Most importantly, Treasures itself is also a place for ministry. Members of the team not only pray for each other but will also take the time to pray for customers. And donations that cannot be used on the sales floor or at Bridgehaven are passed onto other area ministries, including Olivet Neighborhood Mission and Mea’s Missions.
Treasures is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM, except on Thursdays when they stay open until 7PM and on Saturdays when they close at 4PM. Treasures takes gently-used donations during regular business hours, up to 30 minutes before closing.
