Is fundraising required?
There is no pressure to fundraise for this event. Join us for a night of fun with a flat registration fee. Opportunities to donate further through direct donations and the purchase of raffle tickets will also be available.
Is this still a 5K Walk/Run?
No. After feedback from the Bridgehaven community, we understand the need for changes and adaptations. We know this event has great potential to be fun and engaging for all our partners and friends, and we want to make it easy to participate.
Why did you decide to do a night event instead of the usual morning walk?
We know change is hard, but it can also be very exciting. Hosting a glow walk in the evening makes it easier for families and individuals to join after work or school while also creating a unique and fun experience for all ages!
What makes this event different from others?
Our Light Up the Night Celebration and Walk is more than just a walk – it’s a celebration of life, family, and community. Unlike past walks, you won’t be asked to fundraise. Your registration covers the walk and a T-shirt. At the walk, you’ll have the opportunity to make an additional donation and participate in our silent auction.
We ask that you prayerfully consider donating above the registration and silent auction.
Should I purchase a Light Up the Night t-shirt?
Event T-shirts are now included in your flat registration fee. Adult registration is $37 a person, and youth (4-12 years) $22. Children 3 and under are free.
I’m worried about safety at night at the park. Will there be security?
Safety is something we take very seriously. We have considered this from different perspectives. We have shortened the event by only walking the trail loop one time. If you would like to attend the event and only stay in the pavilion and not walk, that is okay. Additionally, out of an abundance of caution, local police officers have kindly volunteered their time to be our security personnel.
I don't particularly like or feel comfortable driving at night. How could I still be involved?
We encourage you to come for as long as you’d like or find a friend or family member to carpool with. If you are unable to find a ride but would still like to support our event, you can donate here.
I can't attend the event. Is there a way for me to support the mission?
