Mother & Infant Care, Inc. opens its doors on 1^st Avenue in Cedar Rapids offering free pregnancy tests.

1984

Mother & Infant Care, Inc. is renamed Aid to Women.

1991

Aid to Women moves to 2^nd Avenue and adds Client Support Services, offering food and clothing items.

1992

Prevention Services is added to the ministry.

1994

Treasures Quality Resale Shoppe opens its doors on 2^nd Avenue with proceeds supporting the center.

2000

Aid to Women moves to its new location at 701 Center Point Road.

2002

Aid to Women starts offering post-abortion support classes.

2008

The building is damaged in the June flood. Staff and services are displaced in several different locations for nine months as building is cleaned and remodeled.

2011

Aid to Women begins offering ultrasound services.

2012

Aid to Women is renamed Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center.

2013

Men’s support services are launched and Bridgehaven celebrates its 30th anniversary.

2014

Treasures Quality Resale Shoppe moves out of the Bridgehaven building to its own space on 8th Ave.

2016

The Bridgehaven building is remodeled to better to utilize the 1,925 square foot area left vacant when Treasures Quality Resale Shoppe moved out of the building to its new location at 405 8th Avenue SE.

2019

Bridgehaven begins offering Abortion Pill Reversal.

2020

Bridgehaven and Treasures adapt their services throughout the year to effectively continue to serve the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. On August 10, a derecho damages the Bridgehaven building, forcing staff and services to work from different locations around the community for several months. In December, Client Support moves into a new leased space at 4250 Glass Road NE in Cedar Rapids. Take Heart services for miscarriage and infant loss are also launched in 2020.

2021

Bridgehaven fully moves out of the Center Point Road location. By March, all Bridgehaven staff and services begin operations out of the new location at Glass Road.
